OBITUARY – KESHAVMAM KHAMBADKONE

It is with profound sadness that we share the passing of Shri Keshavmam Khambadkone last evening (27 May 2026), at the age of 103.
He has now reunited with his beloved Sheila Khambadkone in the heavenly world, together again in eternal peace.
Keshavmam was a true doyen of the Indian pharmaceutical industry; a towering figure in the field of packaging.
His entire professional journey was devoted to Glaxo, where his clarity of thought, discipline, and brilliance shaped generations of professionals.
Even after retirement, his wisdom was sought by many organisations from other industries, including Milton, where he continued to guide and inspire as a respected consultant.
For Pharma India, pioneered the Alu-Alu pack in the early 1990s, an innovation that transformed medicine packaging in India.
It was more than a technical breakthrough; it became a legacy that protected countless patients and set new industry standards.
In his later years, he discovered a new passion; numismatics and antique collection.
Here he is, standing beside his cherished collection of antiques, a world he built piece by piece, with the same care, curiosity, and quiet pride that defined his entire life.
Every object he collected carried a story, a memory, a spark of wonder that kept him youthful in spirit.
A gentle soul.
A brilliant mind.
A life lived with dignity, humility, and an enduring love for learning.
Our heartfelt tributes to him.
Om Shanti, Shanti, Shanti.
